The planning techniques used for Trigeminal Neuralgia stereotactic radiosurgery have evolved with the advancement of linear accelerators and continue to change with emerging technologies. Due to these changes, an analysis of the most commonly published treatment planning methods was completed to evaluate their differences and similarities. Qualitative and quantitative analyses were performed and presented.

Kati McCord, PhD, is a board-certified (DABR) Medical Physicist and Radiation Safety Officer at Prisma Health Cancer Institute with over a decade of clinical experience leading quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and clinical optimization in radiation oncology. Her motivation is to consistently work toward improved patient care by enhancing safety and maintaining compliance with evolving standards. Kati is also an assistant professor at the University of South Carolina Medical School where her focus is on translational oncology research. Kati is committed to help shape the field of medical physics and create an environment for ongoing learning and excellent patient care standards.
